Stubborn - Sherlock x Reader
You coughed for what seemed like the millionth time that day. You had lost count.
Whatever the number of coughs, to Sherlock it was too many.
You could see his agitation in the nearly imperceptible shift of the corner of his mouth. When you first met Sherlock, you thought he was emotionless. The only thrill he seemed to experience came from the solving of a case. Over time, you'd learned that that was not the case. He was harder to read than most, but his emotions were there.
"You're sick, [First Name], you must see a doctor."
"This from the man who wouldn't go to the hospital after being stabbed three times? Unbelievable."
"I was underco

“Unlike you to bring a date, Mycroft.” Sherlock said flatly to his brother. It didn’t take a genius to determine that Sherlock did not approve of Mycroft inviting strangers into their parents’ home. He had been watching you since the moment you walked into the house with his older brother. At first glance, he thought you were just another of Mycroft’s assistants, but your phone remained out of sight, so that was ruled out. A good thing too, Mother hated when either of them brought work home with them.
Mycroft chuckled softly and shook his head. You were a dear friend of his, yes, but a date?
“She’s

“Hey, Sherly, I’m back,” Sherlock heard as the door to the apartment creaked open. It took only seconds for Sherlock to deduce you had gone out with your friends, and by the sound of plastic bags, you were shopping. Mycroft, who was sitting across from Sherlock, raised an eyebrow, and a smug grin played at his lips. “Sherly?”
“Oh, shut up,” Sherlock spat, moving one of his chess pieces. Mycroft contemplated over the available moves and made a move, capturing Sherlock’s knight.
You stopped immediately when you noticed another man in the apartment with Sherlock. He obviously wasn&

“I shouldn't have come…”
“(Y/N)-”
“It’s TOO LATE!” Your eyes watered as your lips trembled subconsciously. Sherlock stood motionless beside the empty fireplace, facing you as you stood up from the armchair. “You’re too late…” It took Sherlock less than a second to notice the ring around your finger.
“You’re...engaged” He uttered softly. Sherlock’s chest ached uncomfortably as he was hit with a wave of overpowering emotion, yet it barely showed. Not a muscle of his twitched.
“Yes… John’s not the only one who's moved on” You

George came into the room with a bright smile on his face, which was rare for him. You had been huddled in the corner, forehead pressed to your knees.
“(Name). He's here. He's come for you. Everything's over now.”
Your head instantly shot up with confusion clearly expressed. “What?”
“Mr. Holmes and his companion. They're here.”
You quickly got to your feet, tears building up in the corners of your (e/c) orbs.
“I told you he never breaks his promises. Especially when he makes them to me.” George's smile never faded, his hand resting on your shoulder.
“We can finally get out of this pl

You tugged a little to the right to test the cuffs with a sad sigh. Raising your head, you look off to the side at your 'guard' and pursed your lips, “I don't belong here George. You know that. I know that. When are they ever going to let me go? I need to be with him.”
“He's going to be here soon. And he's coming with case pictures. That should cheer you up.”
“No, George. I don't belong here. I belong out there with him. He needs me. I don't belong in here.”
The old man paused, nodding slowly with a sad expression. “I know you don't. Why do you think it's so hard for me to come in? Still do it, tho

‘I’m home,’ you call up the stairs of 221B Baker Street.
You lugged the shopping bags with you until you finally reached the flat that you shared with your best friend John and his roommate, Sherlock. You’d been living with them for about 2 months now and you were never bored with the antics that were going on.
‘Thank god you’re back (y/n), I need to go out. Anywhere but here, just make sure he doesn’t blow the place up or something,’ John sighed as he indicated to Sherlock who was lying on the sofa curled up and facing the back of it. John threw his coat on, kissed your cheek and ran out the

Christmas Kiss: Sherlock x Reader
You had been running around all day trying to get ready for Christmas. After buying everyone’s present you had busied yourself finding cards and wrapping paper. Then came the choosing of the decorations; red or green, silver or gold, tinsel or beads. Eventually you had everything you needed and struggled back to Baker Street.
Once safely up the stairs you began decorating. Soon the mantelpiece and the mirror above it were decked out with silver tinsel. The miniature Christmas tree was covered in red and green baubles and the sprig of mistletoe John’s latest girlfriend had bought over was hanging in the doorway.
As no one was hom

Pulse rate increased, cheeks reddened and pupils dilated. Sherlock deduced all this as he placed his hand on your knee. He looked at you, his blue eyes taking in everything; your (h/c) messy plait, the pushed up sleeves of your jumper, the slightly chipped nail varnish on your toes that was just visible as you sat crossed legged on the sofa. You were engrossed in a television programme and he gently squeezed your knee again producing the same response from your body.
“Hmm, what do you want?”
Your eyes remained firmly fixed on the screen yet your head tilted slightly towards him. Sherlock did not respond but continued to look at

“Remind me again why we are doing this?”
The kitchen of Sherlock’s flat was free of experiments and, after being sterilised, was littered in steady with ingredients. You and Sherlock were baking a cake.
“We are doing this because baking is like chemistry. You like chemistry, I like baking and you promised me you would spend more time with me.”
You and Sherlock had been in a relationship for half a year but he had been busy with his cases and so unable to spend time with you. Sherlock looked at the recipe and started weighing out the ingredients which he placed in a bowl before looking at you.
A smile spread a
